SMART program solutions in tackling drink driving

The event was organized as part of European SMART program (Sober Mobility Across Road Transport), by the European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) and the Motor Transport Institute.

The aim of the conference was to discuss issues relating to supervision over the enforcement of the existing regulations, re-educating drivers, alcohol interlocks and other solutions that discourage and prevent drink driving.

The moderator of the discussion was Ms. Ilona Buttler – transport psychologist and road safety expert at the Motor Transport Institute.

The conference was opened by: Mr. Piotr Stomma, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure and Construction, prof. Bogusław Liberadzki, MEP and Asst. Prof. Marcin Ślęzak, PhD, Eng., director of the Motor Transport Institute.
