Academia 2024: MTI publication awarded!

On the second day of the International Book Fair 2024 in Warsaw, an important event took place - the presentation of awards and distinctions of the Academia Awards. The Academia Main Prize, the Rector's Award of the Warsaw University of Technology for the best publication in the field of technical and exact sciences and the Rector's Award of the University of Warsaw for the best publication in the field of social sciences and humanities were awarded. Publications were also distinguished for their editorial work.

The Academia 2024 Main Prize was awarded to the publication "Emblem of the University of Warsaw. The history of the symbol on university seals from the collections of the University of Warsaw Museum” by Krzysztof Mordyński. The publishers are the University of Warsaw Publishing House and the University of Warsaw Museum.

The distinction of the Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology for the best publication in the field of technical and exact sciences was awarded to, among others, publication "Catalytic reactors in motor vehicles", published by the Motor Transport Institute, authored by Stanisław W. Kruczyński and Marcin Ślęzak.

The jury who selected the winners included outstanding representatives of the academic and publishing world, including: prof. Ph.D. engineer Roman Barlik, prof. Ph.D. Elżbieta Zybert, Ph.D. n. med. Jacek Staszewski, Aurelia Grejner, Andrzej Chrzanowski, Rafał Skąpski and Jerzy Burski.

The organizers of the competition for the best academic and scientific book are: Publishing House of the University of Warsaw, Publishing House of the Warsaw University of Technology and the History and Culture Foundation.
